It is a matter of great pleasure and honor for me to write some words on the on the poet of east Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.He was the person who dreamed of a separate Muslim state for the Muslims of subcontinents.
He was born in sialkot on 9th November 1877 at Sialkot and got his early education in his hometown.
Iqbal had unique,graceful and beautiful style of poetry in both Urdu and Persian language.
No doubt, he did not write the poetry for the sake of poetry but to improve the status of man particularly the deprived Muslims of sub-Continent as he says in his Persian verse." I seek no pleasure of song,In fact my poetry is a device by which i try to bring the strayed and uncontrolled camel of my nation to the herd." No doubt Iqbal tried hard to awake his nation who was in the chains of slavery but it does not mean that he had no love and sympathy for the rest of the world.In fact, he is the poet of whole universe.He was deeply concerned with the youth of that time.He called The Muslim youth by the name of Shaheen"Eagle."
He says,
"I love those youngsters who pull the stars down."
He also felt uncomfortable on the way the knowledge is being imparted to the youth of that time.
Iqbal said that if the youth of any nation is lazy and idle than no one can stop the nation to be ruined.In the eyes of Iqbal the youth are the representative of the nation, not only of the current but also for tomorrow i.e they will set a stage for next generation.
The poetry of Iqbal gives us the message of peace,hope unity and love.Now it is up to us to take benefit by his precious message and make the world living paradise of peace,hope,unity and love like a paradise is present above.
I would like to conclude my article with a stanza written by me.
"Iqbal gave the message of peace and love,
He wanted us to be as innocent as dove,
there are all around war,terror and blood
Let`s make the world green not red
