Youth and culture
Ages ago even before the advent of democracy, great masters from all over the world had acknowledged the potential of youth in shaping the destiny of nation.These great masters within their social and cultured background very carefully sow the seeds of wisdom in the minds of children to nourish them with their experience and herqulean efforts.
Pakistni youth of today seems to be simply unaware of their culture and traditions. The younger generation is unaware of its roots moral values and splendid past which we have all inherited from our forefathers.

We need to educate to our youth about our great culture before they become distant from their values,history and religion background.Children today will very easily tell you who won the latest round of Big Boss,Nach Baliye,the leading singer of program jo Jeeta Wohe Superstar,Chote ustad and any number of such other programs, but are totally blank when questioned about who presented pakistan resolution or when the poet of east Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal died.The youth of today know well when, how and why the Valentine day is celebrated,they can talk to u in detail about Hallowan celebartions ,the tradition regarding the celebration of Holi, Basant, and any number of such other festivals but whenever they are asked about their own culture and tradation they are totally ignorant and silent.
Dear Mam
All the girls and boys including me can tell us easily the names of the latest album of Akcent, Justin Bieber,Rihanna,Elie Goulding,lady Gaga,Britney,Edward mayaa and Pitbull but are unable to tell only the names of 14 surah(surat) among 114 surah of Holy Quran.Our parents start their days with offering Namaz and reciting the holy Quran, but we teenager of this modern world start our days with Facebook,skype,twitter, whatsapp and instagram. Whenever some guests come to our houses our parents feel joy and happiness,we teenager also fell joy and happiness outwardly but inwardly we abuses them and say ( oh! God what the hell is this? when will they go back now? Judging by the way youth enjoy celebrating others tradition and festivals,it becomes necessary for us to think that why our youth has become so indifferent to everything,whether from the past or present.Why are they so eager to celebrate every new festival made available to them whether it is Bassant,Holi or valentine? Youth today are so interested in the real happenings taking place in the society.They are least bothered about the prevailing situation in their families and surroundings and are unaffected by the social,political,economic and religious problems flourishing in the society.They are busy with seeing movies,discussing the murky relationships and gossips about their favorites in the movies and sports,farming fans association,pasting photographs of these icons all around in their rooms and even imitating the characters enacted by these actors.it is to ironical that they spend hours with internet mailing and chatting with new friends in others countries and continents,without even knowing the names of their neighbors.
Today smoking and drinking has got an elite social status of being modern with most of the youth including females making it their favorite pastime.Now question arises that how can we bring our youth back to our culture.we should take the following measures:
Special importance should be given to our culture. Quizzes,debate competitions,lectures,seminars, discussion and singing competition related to our culture should be held at educational institute.Power of youth in any society can not be over emphasized.Our present youth is not lacking in moral values but the only dilemma they are facing is that they have derth of sincere leaders.Our youth can bring revolution if they are put on right track and proper guidance should be given to them.Yes!they can bring revolution
